After undergoing heart surgery, patients are advised to wear a pillow between their incision and their seatbelt. If you've tried that, you know the pillow will slip out, and you are constantly having to readjust it, which can distract you from your driving. The Post-Cardiac Surgery Coughing/Travel Pillow was designed with the assistance of a cardio thoracic surgeon with that in mind. After using the pillow while in the hospital and at home for coughing and simply comfort, you can take it in the car with you to make your driving and riding experience more comfortable. Just place the pillow across your chest, lay the seatbelt over the pillow, making sure the seatbelt flap is open. Fold the seatbelt flap around the seatbelt and press the velcro to secure it. When you get out of your car, you can leave the pillow attached to your seatbelt if desired. At times, you may need to adjust the pillow prior to closing your door. A small inconvenience for the security and comfort you will experience.
The Post-Surgical Abdominal and Post-Surgical Woman's Pillow, like the Post-Cardiac Surgery Coughing/Travel Pillow was designed for driving and riding comfort after undergoing a hysterectomy or other abdominal surgery. The Post-Surgical Abdominal Pillow is placed under the lap belt of the seatbelt and the seatbelt flaps are wrapped around the seatbelt and secured with velcro.
The Post-Surgical Women's Incision Pillow was designed at the suggestion of a cardio thoracic surgeon for women who have undergone heart surgery. This small, soft comfortable pillow is placed between the bra and the incision, thus preventing the bra from rubbing against the incision. The pillow is satin on one side and soft cotton on the other and stays securely in place.
Loyal Lion is a soft coughing pillow for children. Loyal Lion will be a cozy companion for your child after surgery. Your child will identify with the Loyal Lion, who also had his broken heart fixed.
The Post-Breast Surgery Travel Pillow was also designed for driving and riding comfort after undergoing breast surgery. A portion of the proceeds for the breast surgery fabric is donated to breast cancer research by Joann Fabrics.
